The last of the largest specimens of diamond with Herkiemer was bound in silver double -plated 24k gold (the possibility of exchange for gold 585). Diamonds with Herkimer above 1 cm are very rare.

Diamonds from Herkimer are mined at the George Lake in the Herkimer district, New York.
Herkimers are very hard. On the ten-point Mohs scale, Herkimer diamonds score 7.5 points (a diamond has 10 points). Due to their hardness, the specimens we selected were drilled to our order in a specialized jewelry workshop.
